Australia’s economy and your financial future

Nov, 23, 2012 | No Comments | news

The idea of investing in Australia has just become that much more attractive, with the announcement that Australia's economy is now the 12th largest economy in the world.

Data released on Tuesday (October 9) shows that the economy has moved up three spots on the international scale from 15th position to 12th since 2007.

Investing in your own country can have amazing flow on effects for the rest of the population and let's face it, the more assets you can secure, the better.

Deputy prime minister and treasurer Wayne Swan welcomed the latest ranking and said it was a remarkable achievement in a statement on Tuesday.

"Australia's impressive performance is also the result of decades of reforms such as floating the dollar, bringing down the tariff wall, abolishing centralised wage fixing and introducing compulsory superannuation."

Mr Swan noted that this result marks 21 consecutive years of growth, which is a record no other economy has reached.

"We have the enviable combination of solid growth, low unemployment, contained inflation, sound public finances and a large investment pipeline that is delivering greater economic capacity and export volumes," he concluded.

All of this makes now an optimal time to consider investing in Australia.

The best way to figure out a financial plan for you is to talk to a financial planning adviser.

As a monetary expert, they can assess your current finances and look for ways you could create more wealth.

One consideration may be to put an investment strategy together.

An adviser can help you to diversify your financial portfolio and provide you with a range of options, which may provide an optimal way to boost your superannuation fund.

Consulting an expert can help you to find new ways to save money and accumulate more wealth.

Everyone deserves to benefit from a well-performing national economy, and seeking some guidance from a financial planning adviser may help you achieve this goal.
